Recently I carried out the delivery voyage of the vessel Freya from Leeuwarden to Groningen.
The Freya is an 82-metre Rhine cruise vessel which is currently being used as an accommodation ship for the Centraal Orgaan opvang asielzoekers (COA). Vessels like this are often temporarily deployed to provide additional housing capacity.
It was an exciting trip along the inland waterways of the Netherlands. During the voyage we had to pass 23 bridges with narrow passages. One bridge was extreme low for us, we had only a few centimeters spare.
end of the day we safely arrived at the new birth in the city of Groningen. The next morning we swap the vessels to the final birth.
