Training on the DAMEN RSD-E 2513 Volta 1
The maritime industry is rapidly moving towards more sustainable operations. A good example of this development is the fully electric Damen RSD-E 2513 Volta 1, operating in the port of Antwerp.
Developed by Damen, this innovative tug represents the next generation of harbour tugboats with fully electric propulsion and advanced onboard systems.
During my time in Port of Antwerp, I provided practical onboard training on the new POA fleet. The focus of the training was to support the crew in operating this modern (electric) tug safely and efficiently.
