Simulator Training – RWS Trainees at Damen Gorinchem
A new group from Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) participated in the ASD tug handling course at the Damen Simulator Centre in Gorinchem.
After a full week of intensive training, the trainees are now well-prepared for the next phase — practical onboard training scheduled for a later moment.
The simulator program starts with the basics and gradually builds up the trainees’ skill levels. In addition to hands-on exercises, the course also includes theoretical sessions to increase operational awareness and understanding of tug behavior.
It was great to see the steady progress throughout the week — a solid foundation has been laid for the next step in their development.
