Onboard Training RSD2513— Port of Antwerp
A new round of onboard training at the PoAB, taking place aboard the Damen RSD2513 “Tug 50.”
Following their simulator sessions, the trainees are now engaged in hands-on training through day-to-day port operations.
Each trainee captain is supported by an experienced trainer, ensuring they develop their skills in a safe, structured, and highly practical environment.
This approach allows us to support the trainees in the best possible way — combining on-the-job learning with a strong focus on safe and efficient sailing.
While they are seasoned captains, this type of tug is new to them. Our role is to provide support wherever it’s needed to ensure a safe and confident transition.
