RWS onboard training @ Waddenstroom

Onboard Training – RWS Group 1 on Waddenstroom
After completing simulator training, the first group of RWS trainees moved on to the onboard phase, and I was invited to join them aboard the Waddenstroom — one of three vessels in the MPV-30 series.
I joined the crew to combine real operational work with on-the-job training. During fieldwork, we encountered several practical situations that offered excellent training moments, allowing us to focus on improving both skills and operational efficiency.
We operated mainly in the Waddensea area and made a stop at island Terschelling to load additional materials and buoys. A fun personal moment: I took a short bike ride on the island and came across a forest trail called the “Snijderspad” — a small road sharing my last name!
Later in the trip, we continued on to Stavoren, located on the IJssellake, further expanding the crew’s experience in different operating environments.
