Tug Handling Training – Swedish Navy ASD3010 ICE
Next assigment is to provide tug handling training for the Swedish Navy.
After flying into Stockholm, I continued on to the beautiful coastal town of Nynäshamn, where I stayed in a small, nautical-themed hotel — the perfect setting for a maritime training.
From there, I traveled to Muskö, home to the Navy base, to start the on-the-job training. The team operates with two ASD 3010 ICE tugs, and it was great to work with them over several days. It was especially rewarding to see how quickly the trainees developed their skills and confidence.
On the final day, one of the captains gave me a tour of the stunning local area — and even invited me to go gun shooting, which was a fun and unique experience!
